I'm taking a week long break.

Hello, friends!

First, I want to thank everyone who reads me here. It means a lot. I am very committed to the project of this substack, which I think of as an ongoing book. This past month, I’ve had a very heavy teaching load. This is why I haven’t posted for several days.

Of course, there is SO MUCH to write about! Biden’s stance on gender affirming surgeries (he is against) for minors was perhaps even more upsetting than his performance at the debate. I’ve been in a bit of a free-fall. Let’s face it: things are grim. I have lots and lots and lots to say. (And miles to go before I sleep.)

But I need to refuel.

In short, I’m going to be stepping back from Gender Defiant for a few days and maybe even a week to catch my breath.

But I’ll be back!!!! I will always be back.
