Here's Monday's Hero: Equality Florida's Angelique Godwin

Those of us with trans loved ones tend to cringe at the mention of states like Florida and Texas. Like these states are simply full of violent, trans-hating folks. But watching Angelique Godwin speak against DeSantis in this video reminds me that not only are their trans folks living in Florida— and that Florida is their HOME, and they don’t particularly appreciate being forced out of it.

Angelique works for the righteous organization Equity Florida.
